Essay/Poem Topic:

Write your younger self a letter. “Dear six year old me…” Tell her everything you think she ought to know.

Criteria:

  • High School Student
  • *Willingness to recite essay/poem at the “My Black is Bold and Beyond Beautiful” Event on February 24th, 2018

Essay/ Poem should be no more than 500 words. Contest will begin on Monday February 12th, 2018 and will end on February 16th, 2018. Essays/ Poems will be reviewed and selected by a committee. Submissions will be judged based on originality and creativity.


Winners will be notified by February 19th, 2018 and will be invited to the Saturday February 24, 2018 My Black is Bold and Beyond Beautiful Event held at Clout Workspace.


Winners: There will be 5 winners chosen from 9th – 12th graders. Top essays/poems will be published on Women Offering Wealth Website and Newsletter.
