Dear Graduating Senior,


If you are reading this it means that you have been selected to participate in our Give-Back Graduation Giveaway. First, I would personally like to say congratulations and as a fellow Duvalian, I am so proud of your accomplishment. This upcoming May will mark 15 years since I graduated from Duval High Schoo​l. I remember the feeling of excitement as I prepare to get ready for the next journey of my life. With faith in one hand and a passion to change the world in the other, I dive in with uncertainty and gain a lot of bruise and bumps along the way but yet I also gained courage and a strong sense of who I am.

The Give-Back Graduation Giveaway is my way to pay it forward. 15 years ago changed my outlook on life and now is your moment.

Guidelines | (1) Contestant must be a 12th grade female who attends DuVal High School. (2) Contestant must submit a one-page essay. (3) Limit one (1) entry per person for consideration. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. All contestants submitting entries must agree to read their essay amongst their peers and community on July 21st, 2018 at Women Offering Wealth College Prep & Job Fair.


Final Submission Date | Deadline to submit your essay is Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 by 11:59pm EST. All entries must include name, telephone number and email address. 


Judging | The essays will be read and judged by Nicole Smith and staff.

 

Winners |  The winner will receive a true congratulatory graduation experience. Winner will be notified via email and/or phone. In the event the winner does not respond to the notification or does not accept the prize, the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.


Prizes |  The winner will be selected on Friday, May 18th, 2018 in a random drawing from among all entries.


All submissions are subject to approval. You will receive an email once your submission has been approved.
